The man opens with a toe dance in soubrette costume. The girl plays a couple selections on the brasses. Together they play the piano and horn, which seems unnecessary. He finished the act with a raggy affair on his toes, putting the act over successfully.
The Alhambra audience, not fully seated yet, gave the man a surprisingly early applause. They received four or five bows at the end.
The couple did very well in the opening position on the bill. However, they should not become satisfied with their current act as they have the makings for something more. He is a wonder on his toes. There is little doubt but what the turn would gather value if the boy were to wear the feminine dress all through, disclosing his sex only at the finish. He does a different type of girl, a pretty girlish type in which it is extremely hard to detect the deception.
