Singing.
The pleasing Sheila Terry act, with Ben Bard and Gattison Jones assisting, went over. The idea of pitting two suitors' respective gifts of singing and dancing against each other, the winner, to be decided by the audience, to take the girl, is novel, and the singer, presumably Bard, on losing gets across a fine bit of "disappointed lover" acting, which, somehow, seemed to touch the audience. It's a pity that the singer is not given full opportunity to display his ability by providing him with several catchy tunes.
