Sarah Bernhardt and a company of four performed a French play. The backdrop was the ducal palace of Ferrarra. The sketch was thirty-seven minutes long.
Bernhardt had at least a dozen curtain calls and received flowers and thunderous applause from the audience. The house was filled to the rafters with people who wished to see the famous actress.
Both she and her supporting cast were excellent.
