Sampson and Douglas were inserted into the bill Monday night when a vacancy suddenly occurred. Due to this, they went without an orchestra rehearsal.
The man performed "What Good Is Water When You're Dry, Dry, Dry?" The woman wears eccentric make-up from the start and makes a complete change of costume in a wicker basket down stage.
From the viewpoint of the regulars, they were entitled to the big applause they received at the close.
Both have good voiced but some of their jokes failed to get over, no doubt due to being worn out here. Miss Douglas reminds one of Elfie Fay, Rose Melville and Gertrude Dunlop.
