Dody appears on stage in evening dress, announcing his partner has disappointed. He attempts to entertain as a single when he is interrupted by a man in a stage box demanding a refund. It is Lewis who steps on stage to indulge in an argument. Dody then performs a song in his Frenchman character, and Lewis, without the necessity of make-up, sings a Hebrew song. Dody then sings an Italian number, and Lewis a "coon" ditty.
They just miss being sure fire candidates for the big time. The entrance from the box could be eliminated. Lewis could also vastly improve the act by "blacking up." They both have good voices, evident by the travesties, "Traviata" and "My Hero."
