Howe's current show is made up of pieces of other works in which he has previously appeared and built around comedy bits which have been in use for a long time. The two pieces used as "Fun In a Subway" and "A Day at the Races."
Howe would have been better to continue with the same show as last season, "The Lovemakers." Perhaps the show is in need of rehearsals or simply started the season too soon. It is unlikely that the change of cast, Hayes and Wynne replacing Evans and Lawrence, could not have made such a big difference. Except when Howe was the central figure, it seems that something is always holding back the comedy.
