Salerno has not been seen in New York since he appeared on the New York Roof. His act is the same as it was then, except for one trick. He has a reputation for inventing his own tricks, especially the one with the lighted globes or flaming torches. It is quite likely that his new billiard cue and ball trick also belongs to him.
With two cues, one balanced on the others, in hand, Salerno shoots from a pistol muzzle a small ball. He catches it upon the butt end of the topmost cue. He did this by the third try.
Salerno seems to be out of practice. Perhaps just leaving the boat or the heat may have caused his misses. He did real well with his tricky juggling with the ink stand, pen and paper. No one handles the lighted globes like Salerno. One assistant attempts comedy, besides the make-up, which is not. Salerno is in a class by himself.
