Fred Russell and Harry W. Smith are joined by three others, including Joe McGee. McGee sang a verse of “Possum Pie,” which he concluded with some clever stepping. The two singers are not prominent to the act. Russell’s parody’s, while not new, went over well.
They were lucky to secure McGee as he is doing excellent work. He is a crucial part of the act and should be allowed to do more. As it stands, the minstrel show is too long. The moving pictures at the end are not necessary.
