"The Tales of Hoffman" Newell and Niblo played an extract
on their saxophones. It might have
caused the opening to sound "classical,"
but it was different. So is their finish on
the xylophones. That is lively and well
played.
Although the Alhambra is a "late house,*'
Newell and Niblo in the mighty hard
place did unusually well.
