An elderly couple (Mrs. Whiffen and James MacDuff) celebrating their golden anniversary, but interrupted by the dispute of their grandchild (Peggy Dale) and her husband (Jack Sears).
"The Golden Hour" by Edgar Allan Woolf
"To classify Mrs. Whiffen as less than a hit would be neglect of duty, much less respect". The audience adored her.
The Dale and Sears bit needs some reworking, but Mrs. Whiffen is elegant, and brilliant in her role.
