25 minutes f.s. Mrs. Campbell has been fortunate in the selection of a vehicle for vaudeville, and the sketch went very well here this afternoon, notwithstanding that the man who plays the Russian general did not come anywhere near the requirements of his part. He did not afford the opportunity for Mrs. Campbell to work up her climaxes as she is capable of doing, and it was a pity to see what might have been an excellent performance marred. However, the audience did not seem to notice the deficiency, and the act closed big.
