McVeigh and Daly’s “Smith’s Companion”

She sings two poor songs, particularly "They Never Do That to Me,"
McVeigh is a bachelor who sends for a companion; Miss Daly as a "slavey" answers the call. Mr. McVeigh joins in the finishing number and also attempts some dancing, but the effort is an ill advisded one.
The plot of "Smith's Companion" is barely sufficient for the songs and dances of John McVeigh and Nellie Daly to be worked in.
