Presenting the one-act playette “Mrs S. Holmes, Detective.” Written by Ruth Bryan Leavitt, daughter of William Jennings Bryan. As an advertising medium this act will be a financial success. The woman worked to disadvantage this afternoon on account of the non-appearance of a member of her company. The new man forgot his lines and worked very bad in general. Miss Gordon is not a star actress by any means, although she held her own. The act is quite a novel idea, nothing sensational, but pleases. Presume it will develop into a pleasing sketch for the circuit as a second headline feature. 23 min. Full stage.
