16 min. in 1. 2 shows. On at 9:32. Advance hand. Monday afternoon and evening did not sing, arriving in Philadelphia very much under the weather. In order to keep faith with the public, however, she appeared in the afternoon, being introduced by Mr. George Abel who made a nice little speech, telling the audience of Miss Lloyd’s indisposition. Miss Lloyd made her apologies and showed very plainly that she was very unwell. The crowd gave her a good strong hand. Tuesday afternoon Miss Lloyd appeared, and although it was plain to be seen that was not up to form, she gave a very good show. In the evening her work was still better and promises to improve for the balance of the week. Lloyd is certainly drawing many to the house.
