The company gave the audience a peek at a masterpiece by performing "Zila," from the play of Maurice de Mercey. Miss Adams' dialect is a mixture of French and Italian, which is backed up by a splendid appearance in gypsy garb.
Miss Adams violin and excellent acting caught the audience's attention immediately.
Miss Adams has a pair of eyes that seem to go right through the object she is looking at. Other than Mr. O'Donnell, her support is but fair. However, the two principals easily carry the playlet. The story is well written, but would do better to have a second male at the finale. The act belongs in the headline class by Miss Adams individual work alone.
