"The Minstrel of Kerry."
As an "Irish singing sketch," it's one of the best vaudeville now holds, which doesn't appraise its worth, since there is little competition just now for it. With Hallowe'en as the time it permits a light effect at the opening and Mr. Reilly makes considerable use of the stage lowered spot encased in a cut-out pumpkin to stand in its glare. The mother role is well played, and the company seems the same as before. In an early position Mr. Reilly's turn will get over, though it runs too long. It's best applause speech, about the older mother grows, etc., should either be put over for the telling applause or taken out.
