Laddie is one nifty little “kid” on his pins. His roughies face and boyish manner get him all the rest.
The audience was sadly disappointed when he came out and in choking tones announced he was unable to continue.
Laddie Cliff started like a whirlwind but in his second song began to grow hoarse and was forced to quit during his third number, having lost his voice entirely.
