Mr. Tannen has a bright, snappy line of talk, delivered with a rapidity that keeps the audience on the jump reaching for the points. The chopping off of sentences just before the points are reached suggests Jack Norworth strongly.
It is a difficult position for a monologue, the way the present bill is laid out, or at any time. It was after eleven, and not only this, but he followed Arnold Daly. A great many who had started to leave after the headliner remained standing in the rear until he had finished.
