Miss Flynn and Margaret Arnold are on either end of the girls, in blackface, while the other seven are in whiteface. Their costume changes went from gowns to Hula costumes.
They were quite struck by the girls' looks and hard work.
As a girl minstrel troupe, "The Flynn bunch seems to be ahead of them all". All of the girls are quite talented singers.
