"Casey, the Fireman" is the same act that the duo used many years ago. Miss Ray enters, appearing in evening attire, calling attention to herself asking for a fire. The table is set for the entertainment of her guest, the Chief of the Fire Department.
The moment Johnnie appears there is an outburst of laughter which continues throughout the whole sketch.
The sketch is badly put together. Something should appear, a note or phone message, to indicate that a guest had been invited. Either the dialog should be changed or a costume is necessary to remedy this fault. Johnnie Ray's impersonation of the fireman is one of the biggest comedy hits of the vaudeville stage.
