The act was fourteen minutes long. Walton opens with a “blue” suggestive song and then did several dialect bits. He is billed as a “dialectician”.
During the song, the audience was packing up to leave. As soon as he began the dialect portion of his act, however, the audience sat down and thoroughly enjoyed themselves.
Walton is an excellent dialectician and his act would benefit from a few good dialect stories. With some new material, he could easily make it into the big time houses.
