"Agnes DeLaine, the deserted wife, lost any opportunity her part afforded for a display of emotional acting, and Mr. Percival Lennon as the suitor in her grass widowhood gave a wishwashy lovesick sea captain. Deduct the boy and his character of the son and there remains Mr. Wilke with his voice only. For one so young Master Fernandez evinces exceptional aptitude and intelligence. "
