Hilda Hawthorne adds novelty to a
straight singing offering through introducing
a short bit of ventriloquism.
Miss
Hawthorne has a very good soprano voice
which she shows to advantage in her singing
of "Carissima." A very good effect is secured by singing a
"get back" song with the "dummy," which
shows off her ventriloqulal powers to the
best possible advantage.
It was the ventriloquism that
made Miss Hawthorne a big hit Tuesday.
