Clive has left the magical comedy tricks and no longer walks into the audience. To replace this he has a humorous travesty on lightning calculations. Mai Sturgis Walker is once again his pretty assistant. Another new bit is his ventriloquism in which he wears a drooping mustache and holds a "dummy" on his knee. While speaking, he ostensibly drinks a large jar of milk. He concludes with a little magic with a handkerchief and billiard ball. He explains the trick while the orchestra drowns out his voice, loudly playing "The Glow Worm."
The house enjoyed Clive and Miss Sturgis so much that they bowed several times.
Clive continues to be an easy going, pleasing entertainer. His present material is much preferable to previous work.
