Houdini escapes from a Chinese Water Torture Cell. His legs were securely locked together while he was lowered head first into the tank filled with water. The tank was then topped with a cage-like grill. Heavy curtains were then drawn around the performer. Escaping in less than two minutes, Houdini offers $1000 to anyone who can prove a way in which the performer can obtain air within the tank. 15 men inspected the tank, none of them daring to suggest how he did it.
