The "hat drama" does not figure, although the point of the Englishman's humor is still shrewd burlesque. All the burlerques, there are half a dozen of them, are incidental to a song called "Walk, Walk, Walk."
Mozart has a native knack for travesty and exercises it most effectively to make ridiculous the stilted twaddle and nonsense that masquerades on the stage as romantic and emotional acting.
