The set is rather elaborate as a snow effect can be seen through a window.
The intensely dramatic playlet, "Man to Man," was written by Oliver White. The work smacks strongly of socialism and carries the theme of oppression of the poor by the capital. The scene takes place in the office of a doctor who specializes in throat diseases. The show is not realistic as all those diagnosed with diphtheria are immediately rushed to contagious disease hospitals. There is no chance a child would be lying about suffering from such a malady.
The playlet is not up to par with Keenan's former work, "The Oath," but it serves its purpose. The only true fault with the play is that it is slow to start, but once under way it becomes gripping and grewsome. Keenan is surrounded by a worthy cast.
