Francesco Creatore conducts his band which plays the work of famous composers. While they play, illuminated pictures of the composers are shown.
After the few minutes allotted to Creatore were over, the audience demanded more. Creatore walked to the footlights and said "The management doesn't want me to play any more numbers. I thank you." Whether it was a cheap bid for sympathy or not, his speech resulted in clapping, foot-stomping, and whistling for several minutes. It only increased when the following act was sent out.
