Colored Musical act. 16 min. F.S. 2 shows. Ten colored men and four women, all trained musicians in brass. There is a lot of dash and go in this act, and it seemed to take very well. The band features were varied by one or two singing numbers, only fairly good, and also French horn, double quartette, drill and drum novelty, which made a very noisy, but amusing finish. The act is very nicely dressed, and might make a good closer anywhere but in Philadelphia where the coon is not much in evidence as a valued product of the soil, save around election time. Consequently, after hearing the after-show comments of the audience on Monday night we concluded on a shift to the present spot where they take very well.
