Her most successful song was "Lula and Her La La La," which went well.
Miss Carus has a buxom presence and a native jollity which put everyone into a good humour.
Her voice, however, while full and ably controlled, has dropped into the slightly blatant quality, commonly characteristic of vaudeville singers, and her unfortunate choice of songs probably deprived her of the reception she might have been given with a happier selection.
