Egyptian Princess

The act was fifteen minutes long on the full stage. A young woman dressed as an Egyptian Princess plays the harp and sings. She enters in a huge gondola and is assisted by “three negroes and three dark female assistants.” The background is “Orientish” and shows the pyramids and the desert. “The blacks do a hop, step and jump around the stage, and one of the girls does a dance she shouldn’t.”
The female dancing assistant dances badly and "inartistically". The Princess looks good and no doubt means well, but she needs assistants that can actually do something for her act.
