Leonard had a tough spot, bringing the audience to laughter after following Lou Anger's dark war talk. He began his work with a new "wah-wah" song with a bit of stepping. He then continued straight on to the corking finish. It was a well built two-act with Miss Russell. She put over a well liked number after Leonard's opening. He was called up long after his time was up to sing "Big Brown Boo Loo Eyes."
Leonard and Russell were successfully able to pull the audience back to comedy. The finish had a liberal amount of comedy, hitting the mark just right.
