Ventriloquy, singing, and banjo playing.
Garbed in a poorly fitting dress suit, Willen sings a ballad then returns to play a medley of old tunes on the banjo and closes with a ventriloquial offering, using a small boy dummy on the knee. The ballad gets nothing and is evidently used to prove versatility. The banjo playing is well done and shows Willen could elaborate his portion advantageously. The routine used with the dummy is very ancient, some of it being so old that the audience did not recognize it. Placed
early, Willen will go for the pop houses.
