In an act on the unsupported ladder, and which is unquestionably the best act of this kind that has ever been presented here, if not the best in the world. Two men work on the ladder at the same time and their feats of balancing are something really wonderful. They open their act by bring [sic] in a small German fire engine with ladder attached, which is quite an attractive affaur [sic]. They remove the top portion of the apparatus and place the ladder on the platform and do their work from there. They makes changes of costume while standing on the ladder, play mandolins, and do juggling, and for a special feature do some head balancing while standing on the ladder. Some way or other, our people seem to be unable to appreciate the difficulty of an act of this kind, but they were much more enthusiastic this afternoon than I have ever seen them before. It is a remarkable act. 14 min, full stage.
