Well-known sketch, “At the White House”, with the Lincoln character well presented by Mr. Chapin and about the worst supporting company we ever had in the theatre, such a company as no one but Wm. A. Brady would have the nerve to present. With a good company, the sketch would be interesting. As it is, nothing but the heroics made it get by. I understand it made a hit at the Fifth Avenue. Thank Heaven the Providence audiences have a little more grey matter. 27 Min. F.S.
