He sang before a plush drop.
He sang some folk-songs.
Audience was disappointed by the lack of Irish love songs in the repertoire ( he is well known for them.)
The Mack listened to was not the Mack the audience came to hear.
When Andrew Mack play in such large auditoriums as the Academy, New York, and McVicker's, Chicago his voice never seemed to quite fill the place, but with the quiet attention which the Majestic's vaudeville audience gave to him Monday afternoon there were no such shortcomings noticeable.
The singer was obviously nervous and fidgety. He wasted good times telling uninteresting and unfunny tales.
As it was he passed fairly well, but only so.
