"Judge Grimes" and "Mammy O' Mine."
Gags amount to very little in the way of returns. The songs seemed to please, as Andre Copeland in blackface accepted two encores. Copeland affects a colored sport character, neat in attire, to the carnation. He makes a very presentable appearance. Opening with a dreamy Southern ballad, he delivers four gags to poor returns. He gets more with the Bert Williams "Judge Grimes" number. A "prohibition ball" number leads up to medley of parodies around prohibition. The medley could be worked up more by employing a larger number of strains. His first encore with "Mammy O'Mine" earned a second in which he delivered a mediocre dance. A better routine would do wonders for the act. Copeland makes an acceptable small time single.
