His act may be likened to a “bare stage act” although he uses a setting.
The comedy is given through a girl giving a tryout at a theatre. She is interupted by a stage hand who wants to help her by giving her pointers. Mr Lester explains how Hamlet could come to vaudville and the act becomes a monologue almost from the opening. Some of the lines are bright.
