Bits of Vaudeville. Moved from #6 to this spot. I may be prejudiced but I never could discover any ability as a comedian to Stanley, though I have suffered myself to sit through his act at various times and places. Apparently the audience this afternoon was of the same mind for the act died absolutely. In justice to Stanley it should be stated that the edge was taken off his work in the audience through Sam Mann preceding him on the bill and working from the orchestra pit. In this spot tonight the act went a hundred per-cent better. Olio in 1. Time 12 min.
Aerial Act. Moved from closing position to open. Four men in an ordinary routine of casting. Act is weak in comedy and it would improve the act greatly if the two “comedians” would clean up their makeup. Work of the straight men is good and act should get by in this spot. Garden in 4. Time 9 min.
Hand to hand balancing. Made a great closing act and went big. 8 min. full stage.
Colored monarchs of comedy. Went very big. 24 min. in one.
Comedy acrobatics. Some good stunts went good. 12 min. in one.
Comedienne. Very cute, songs and characters well chosen, made good from the start. 14 min. in one.
Singing, dancing, & high kicking. Two women and one man. Singing does not amount to much, dancing very good particularly the younger of the two, who is very graceful and made a hit. High kicking of man also a feature. Went very good. 13 min. full stage.
Acrobatic and risely novelty. Went very big. 11 min. full stage.
“Vaudeville’s daintiest singing act.” Very good voices, nicely costumed and a good selection of songs, went very big, one of the hits of the bill. 13 min. in one.
The Mad Musicians, two young men one playing the violin and the other the piano, neat appearing, had good selection and went very good. 17 min. in one.
