The Overing Family

“Mrs. Juniper’s Troubles.” A rough farce rather disconnected and went only fair. 22 min. full stage close in one.

Paul Barnes

Monologist. A good line of stuff and went very well. 21 min. in one.

Mabel Carow

Character songs. Started off slow but finished good. 14 min. in one.

Wood Bros.

Double fling rings. Went very good. 10 min. full stage.

Barnes & Robinson

Songs & music. Mr. Barnes is a very clever pianist and accompanies Miss Robinson, who has a good line of songs. The act went very good. 17 min. in one.

Adonis & Dog

Doing some very good hand balancing, also the dog very clever. Act went very god. 8 min. in two. Carries own plush drop.

Sam Mann & Co.

“The New Loader.” This is a bare stage act with a morning vaudeville rehearsal in progress. Sam Mann, in the role of a German loader, has the audience fairly howling with laughter all through the act. Act is rather rough at present and needs to be chopped way down to within a decent running length as it drags considerably towards the finish. Moved from #4 to this spot and held it tonight in good shape. Bare stage, 38 min.

Hathaway, Kelly & Mack

Novelty Amusement Trio. Moved from #2 spot and went over in good shape with their songs and novelty dances. Girls look well and the trio are better singers than are usually found in acts of this character. Street in 1. Time 12 min.

A Night with the Poets

This act went rather slowly this afternoon as a new man in the quartet did not seem to be up in his business. Lloyd’s reading was as admirable as ever but the quartet seemed to have selections that dragged horribly and which are to be changed tomorrow. While “Maud Muller” is a pretty poem I think the old selection of “The Old Man and Jim” would be better appreciated by our audiences. Much of the nervousness of the afternoon had worn off by night and the act went much better. Own act in 3. Time 22 min.

Rowena Stewart & Gladys Murray

Sketch, “Broadway Love.” Two very pretty girls in a quiet dramatic sketch that the misfortune to have to open the show at the matinee and were moved to this spot to give them a better chance. There are just a few rough edges to the act as yet that will smooth out in time. The attractive appearance of the girls and a rather dramatic finish will carry the act over in this spot anywhere. One song is introduced in the act. Parlor in 3. Time 17 min.
