A very pretty one-act American-Japanese opera. Four persons are employed in its interpretation—one man and three women. The scenery, all of which is carried for the production, is beautiful and rich and the costumes are expensive and artistic. The acting and singing are very good. 24 minutes full stage.
(Canada’s Crack Military Band) Made up of forty men who, besides giving a matchless band concert, introduce Scotch dances, vocal choruses, vocal solos and instrumental selections of a very high order. This is without doubt the king of all vaudeville acts. The “Kilties” national airs and classical selection fairly lifted the auditors out of their seats. 1 hour full stage.
Monologist. This young man does a very fair talking turn. He has a good singing voice and he ought to exercise it a little more than he does. He had the audience with him from the start to the finish. 18 minutes in 1.
European comedy wire performers. They are past masters in their line. For a finish to their act they do a running feat on a moving wire –propelled by a sort of bicycle apparatus—which is novel and good. I7 minutes full stage; 3 minutes in 1.
A man and two woman who do a singing turn of the operatic order. They carry special scenery which is very artistic and their costumes are original and neat. Their voices are good and blend exceedingly well. The act goes big with the audience. 13 minutes full stage
In a talking act which they have christened “A Congressman-at-Large.” These performers are exceptionally clever and keep their audiences convulsed from start to finish. 18 minutes in I.
An exceedingly pretty woman who performs with a troup of trained dogs and a horse. Considered from a picturesque viewpoint this act a “blue ribbon” winner; from an artistic standpoint it contains nothing new or novel. 10 minutes full stage.
Presenting a sketch entitled ‘The Baron’s Love Story.” This vehicle in the hands of other than these clever people would not go the way it has here. Mr Clement is an artist who could win his audiences with material that less talented performers would ‘get the flag’ on. 30 minutes full stage.
Spiral ascensionist. He does equilibristic work—rifle shooting and juggling—upon a sphere in which he is assisted by a woman. This turn belongs strictly in the novelty class. It makes good. 12 minutes in I.
A prettily-costumed, refined young woman who is the possessor of a voice that is musically sweet and well-trained. She is a winner with all for she has a repertoire that appeals to all classes. 10 minutes in one.
