Act consists of ten colored boys who introduce a lot of instrumental and vocal music and dancing in two scenes. There were a lot of laughs in the act and it made a very good closer. 26 minutes, garden in 2 and special set in 5.
“The German Soldier”. A very clever and out of the ordinary dialect monologist, who, notwithstanding the preceding lot of comedy, got along very fine and seemed to make a distinctly favorable impression. He held the attention all the way through and finished very well. 12 minutes, street in 1.
In his well known sketch, “Flinder’s Furnished Flat”. As usual this act was a big scream and Simms was given a reception upon making his appearance. Finish strong. C.D.F. 27 minutes.
This popular pair haven’t the slightest trouble is gaining the attention of the audience, and they went big all the way through. There was many a laugh and they finished strong. Street in one. 26 minutes.
In “The Intruders”. Comedy sketch of a farcical order, which won a lot of laughs. Quite favorably received all the way through but didn’t finish very strong. Perfectly satisfactory, however. 19 minutes. C.D.F.
3 men, 1 woman, in a high class singing act, rendering numbers that met with unstinted approval. The act went big all the way through and the finish was strong. 12 minutes, olio in 1.
Two men and a woman in a novelty wire act, which made a favorable impression all the way through. Each of the performers was distinctly successful and the act finished strong. 13 minutes, garden in 5.
This act consists of a number of trained dogs and cats, and the act is a fairly good offering of its kind. None of the tricks are really out of the ordinary and the most novel part of the act is the paraphernalia which is used in its presentation. It was given attention didn’t make a very strong act to close with. Got by nicely, however, and that is about all. Garden in 5, 8 minutes.
In “At the Newsstand”. These two were given a slight reception of welcome upon their entrance and their act was distinctly and easily the hit of the bill. They kept things moving very rapidly, got a lot of laughs, and no fault could be found with them in any manner. They took several encores and finished strong. 18 minutes, special set in 2.
In “During the Performance”. These two singers present the same act they did here the last time and just about got by. The early part of the went better than the finish, which was not especially flattering. 11 minutes, olio in 1.
