A very clever animal offering of exceptional merit. A number of tricks were introduced that were entirely new here. Everything presented found favor. This act is exceptionally strong for the children and should find unlimited favor with adults. Finish strong. 12 minutes. Garden in 4.
Comedy magician. An unceasing flow of comedy comment, which reminds on of Jim Horton, with an introduction of a few tricks of magic. An excellent comedy act and one that evokes screams of laughter. Big hit all the way through. Finish strong. 19 minutes, olio in 1.
Man and woman in an aerial and balancing act of considerable merit. They introduce a member a number of tricks out of the ordinary and won favor all the way through. 11 minutes, palace in 3.
A fine artist in the delineation of songs. Appeals to the more intelligent class. Plenty of style. Held interest throughout, scoring moderately strong finish. Will no doubt go better for the remainder of the week. Olio in 1, 22 min. (Dayton)
1 man, two women in “The Obstinate Miss Granger.” Rather a mediocre comedy pretty well handled. Good in spots and ordinary at times. Generally pleased. No finish at all. Library in 3, 21 minutes. (Atlanta)
“The Virginia Judge.” Went very well, but, for the money, he should certainly have some new material. Practically the same stuff he has done on his four previous visits. Two men, one woman, in comedy, singing and dancing skit, “On the Road.” Sort of farce-comedy, opening in 3 with finale. Special drop. Singing and dancing in 1. The close-in is the best part of the act, the preceding part being somewhat crude and without particular value. Did fairly well throughout, working up to a good finish and concluding moderately strong. Double set in 3, special in 1. 21 minutes. (Open)
The “Twentieth Century Vaudevilleians.” Songs by both, and piano-accordian [sic] work by women. Did pretty well in spots and, in a personal way, gave satisfaction. Fairly good act, but for some reason did not get over as well as they deserved. Moderately strong finish. Olio in 1. 11 min. (Cleveland)
Dutch character vocalist. Bang several songs, the feature of which is his yodling [sic]. The act has the disdination [sic] of being distinctly different from the general run of “singles.” He made a very favorable impression, winning immediate favor and finished strong.
