The Jupiters dress in approved cowboy fashion, work with a wood set and employ horse blankets to frame their tent for a sort of black-art cabinet.
These "Cowboy Magicians" are one of the real hits of the bill. One of the brothers calls for a committee from the audience, among those answering are several plants. This committee is seated on stage. Comedy comes from a trick chair with a needle spring attachment. The other brother is seated on a high stool, blindfolded, his hands bound to his thighs and his shirt sewn to his trousers. A front cover is let down, allowing only his face to be seen. Suddenly a hand is waved above the covering, then it is seen elsewhere. This play goes on for a few minutes. The hand is commanded to bring forth fresh flowers which are then distributed to the audience. A bouquet is brought forward and a "plant" from the balcony comes to receive it, allowing the man in the blanket to return to his bondage. When the curtain is pulled aside he is seen still tied and sewed.
While this trick is meant as comedy, the American audience seemed mystified by it.
