The theme of "Monday" is that of a travesty of the "freak acts" that are common in the house. The comedy is about the trials of an unknown artist arriving at the theatre. The "small time" headliner becomes a big time star overnight. The headliner of the show is a snake dancer. Tom O'Brien-Havel is the Mopupus and head usher, Arthur Havel is the call-boy, and Miss Kyle the headliner. The two boys "kid" her and finally tell her that the proper caper is to give a tryout in the green room for their benefit. With the windup of the "try out," the boys join in and add to a strong finish. The "stuff" is rather "fly" and at "The Corner" would manage to get to all of the regulars, although much of the value was lost on the Brooklyn audience.
There was just enough vaudeville comedy to earn them some laughs and a big applause at the end.
