"Labor and the Man" follows the stereotypical groove of the obdurate mill-owner who defies the strikers.
The sketch was meant to enthuse the union labor element to a riotous frenzy, but the audience was not of sufficient size.
Paul is a smooth and likeable actor, until he hits the "ranting" and then goes off on a noisy tangent leaving behind all he has been taught or has learned about acting. He deserves a better sketch than this.
