Zylette

Location:
Date:
An opening film shows Zylette as a doll, being sold by the inventor. She appears on the stage and does some work “as the doll” before changing into a succession of national types for a dance: German, Russian, and Spanish costumes before a transforming backdrop.
She does the entire performance in a doll pantomime.
The songs are good and versatile, but it is her pantomime that really shines. Although the film is unnecessary, the act is carefully put together.
