Banjo playing.
Chopin's polonaise Militaire.
The lighter numbers won applause, being more appropriate for the instrument. Miss Kenton was a big hit. She could have exhausted her repertoire on a very appreciative audience, both through her playing and personal appearance.
It is doubtless an effort to play four or five pieces on the banjo continuously, and Dorothy Kenton plainly attests to this through her labored breathing, which is heard in the front rows. To avoid this, Miss Kenton might advisedly drop Chopin's " Polonaise Militaire."
