Emma never looked better, more youthful or displayed so much vim and pertinacity as she did with this act.
Miss Carus was assisted by William B. Taylor. He plays the piano beautifully.
Emma opens by referring to her partners, past and present. Then she delves into other personalities, followed by a monologue which was bright and smart, but with humour too subtle for this audience. New songs were rendered by Miss Carus. A nice display of gowns and a patriotic number cemented an impression upon the audience.
The act got laughs alright-- plenty of them.
In point of material and construction, MissCarus has the best act she has offered in many moons, if not seasons.
