“His act consists of a knack of making very quick changes of gloves, cuffs, collars, and neckties, in full view of the audience. He removes a pair of red gloves that are on his hands when he enters and in their place appear gloves of a bright shade of green. He goes through this process several times, putting on the gloves in an instant […] While he is doing this he keeps up a rambling monologue, addressed to a pump on the stage, that has neither rhyme nor reason.”
"As a novelty the performer manages to conceal the mechanism by which his tricks are accomplished, and there was much speculation in the audience as to how the tricks were done."
"Mr. Hymack belongs in the chameleon category, but has no claim whatever on the title of comedian. There are many things in his turn to cause wonder, but nothing in it to amuse."
"With a good line of talk the act would be far more interesting than it is at present."
